Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Technician (BT)
Position Overview: As an RBT/BT working with children diagnosed with autism, you will play a crucial role in implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs designed to improve the lives of individuals on the autism spectrum. Working under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will contribute to the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans, provide direct one-on-one therapy sessions, and collect data to track progress.
Responsibilities:
- ABA Program Implementation:
- Assist in the implementation of individualized ABA programs under the guidance of a BCBA.
- Direct Therapy Sessions:
- Provide one-on-one therapy sessions, focusing on specific skill acquisition and behavior reduction goals as written and directed by the BCBA.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively.
- Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect accurate and reliable data during therapy sessions to track client progress.
- Collaboration with BCBA and Team:
- Maintain open communication with the supervising BCBA to discuss client progress, challenges, and modifications to intervention plans.
- Collaborate with other team members, including caregivers and other professionals, to ensure a cohesive and consistent approach.
- Behavioral Skill Teaching:
- Implement strategies to teach communication, social, play, and daily living skills based on individualized client needs as written and directed by the BCBA.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed session notes.
- Professional Development:
- Stay current RBT certification through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Pursue and maintain RBT certification through ongoing training and supervision requirements.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred).
- Completed RBT certification or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
- Experience working with children with autism or related developmental disorders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow behavior intervention plans and adapt strategies as needed.
- Reliable transportation.
Working Conditions:
- The position involves working directly with children in a clinic setting.
- Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate client schedules.
- Clinic hours are 8am – 6pm. Must be available to work during those hours.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
