This is a full time teaching position beginning in late August, 2024 All preschool classrooms follow an integrated model welcoming students with and without disabilities. Candidates must hold Massachusetts teaching licensure PreK-2 an additional license in the area of Special Education and / or English a Second Language is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities include:
- Uphold the mission and vision of Lawrence Public Schools and The Rollins Early Childhood Center.
- Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practice for children ages birth-6.
- Planning and implementation of standards based preschool curriculum with an emphasis on purposeful play and social emotional learning.
- Partnering with families throughout the school year
- Collaborating with Preschool Team on planning, assessments, and goals.
- Management of students IEPs including goal writing, progress reports, and tracking data
- Ongoing professional development rooted in building equity for all learners
