The Old Globe, a Tony Award-winning theatre and one of the country’s leading regional theatres, seeks a full-time Associate Front of House Manager (AFOHM) to support its front of house operations and volunteer program. The Associate Front of House Manager will provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that every patron and guest who comes to the Globe will feel welcomed, appreciated, thanked for being here, and will leave with the desire to come back.
Reporting to the Front of House Manager, the Associate Front of House Manager is responsible for the recruitment, scheduling, training and coordination of The Old Globe’s volunteer force; for providing administrative and operational back office support for front of house operations, working as manager on duty during evening and weekend performances by handling escalated situations and offering hands on support to House Management, and working designated weekly shifts as a house manager. The successful candidate will have excellent computer, administrative, and organizational skills. They will have very strong interpersonal, team building, and communication skills. Applicants should have a minimum of two years administrative experience; experience coordinating a volunteer staff a plus.
This position is full-time with benefits including 401(k). This is a non-exempt position paying $25-$27 per hour. . Weekend availability is required. Hours are primarily in the afternoons and evenings Wednesday-Sunday. Must be able to pass applicable background check.
