**Job Summary:
The Inventory Operations Specialist oversees the storing, receiving and distributing processes of an organization's products and supplies. Main duties include controlling the flow of supplies and equipment, tracking and analyzing inventory maintenance and developing protocols for loss mitigation. This position will be responsible for fully understanding and facilitating the daily shipping and receiving operations of the warehouse.
**Duties:
- Audit inventory to keep system in balance during daily order processing.
- Research and resolve all issues, adjustments and discrepancies.
- Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.
- Assists in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Conducts and reviews cycle counts.
- Receives goods and checks for quality. Communicates potential quality issues to relevant departments.
- Lifts and carries up to 30 pounds.
- Oversees driver check-in, checklist creation and BOL generation processes.
- Understands warehouse procedures and maintains/updates training documentation.
- Communicates and collaborates with other departments daily.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment by being aware of surroundings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications:
- HS Diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role preferred.
- Willingness to acquire and maintain forklift certification required.
- Ability to read, write and perform basic math skills with strong attention to detail including speed and accuracy in counting and verification.
- Must be proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Interact with and work well with others in various fast changing environments/situations.
- Ability to prioritize, manage time, and carry out multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
- A demonstrated ability to plan and problem solve.
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
**Essential Functions:
- Conducts cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Collaborates and communicates with management, customer service representatives, production associates, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
- Responsible for ensuring warehouse procedures are followed and maintains/updates training documentation.
- Resolves inventory discrepancies and investigates solutions.
- Uses standard warehouse technology and tools to ensure inventory management accuracy.
- Takes responsibility for driver check-in and BOL accuracy and oversees related functions.
