The People and Culture Manager is dedicated to the heart of our hotel - our people. As the People and Culture Manager, you will ensure the efficient administration of Human Resources functions, fostering a supportive and thriving workplace environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Foster strong working relationships with other departments by communicating effectively and responding promptly to questions and requests
- Deliver exceptional Human Resources services by expertly managing the entire team member life cycle—from recruiting and onboarding to development, performance management, engagement, and offboarding—ensuring a positive and productive journey for all team members
- Foster a vibrant and fulfilling atmosphere by organizing appreciation events and community service activities
- Create and maintain personnel files to support a well-organized and efficient HR department
- Inspire and guide department heads by training them on hotel policies and procedures, fostering a unified understanding and commitment to excellence
- Deep understanding of Human Resources practices and procedures, along with extensive knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to Human Resources matters
Physical Demands:
- Lift or move boxes weighing up to 25lbs
- Stand, walk within hotels areas and sit for long periods of time throughout the shift
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Human Resources Management Certification preferred
Experience:
- 4-years of professional human resources experience
- Basic mathematical skills for salary and benefit calculations
- Knowledge of insurance, team member benefits, claims, and liability
- Strong analytical skills for assessing situations and making sound decisions
- Full understanding and comfort working on a computer with MS Suite-Outlook, Word, Excel
- Previous experience with utilization of HRIS and applicant tracking systems
