Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Tool Crib Attendant. As a Tool Crib Attendant, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining inventory control of tools and equipment in our warehouse. This is a vital role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming tools and equipment
- Organize and maintain the tool crib area
- Perform regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy
- Issue tools and equipment to employees as needed
- Track tool usage and monitor tool condition
- Coordinate with purchasing department for tool orders and replacements
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure availability of required tools
- Maintain records of tool repairs and maintenance
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities as necessary
Adhere to all safety requirements.
- Basic understanding of maintenance stores, parts and equipment to assist maintenance staff.
- Ability to perform mathematical operations utilizing units of measurement.
- Handling of transactions within the storeroom such as receiving all incoming parts into SAP, tag each item put parts away and file related paperwork. Issuing of material, inventory count –adjustment, parts identification and look up in SAP, package and ship out warranty and repair items.
- Count high usage items/critical spare parts frequently to ensure inventory is correct.
- Kit maintenance work orders, verify kit is complete.
- Create, assign and maintain storage bins and bin location. • Identify current slow moving /overstock inventory items to determine if item should be returned or inventory level reduced.
- Communicate to team any changes to the spare part location or parts room layout.
- Monitor Min/Max levels of approximately 1800 items, initiate re-order process as needed.
- Assist in maintaining an orderly and clean crib environment, general housekeeping and inventory management activities.
- Support maintenance in reduction of equipment break-downs and reduce time equipment is down.
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards and adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management.
- Repeated lifting of 30 pounds
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse management preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in using computer systems for data entry and inventory tracking
- Knowledge of SQL or other database management systems is a plus
- Familiarity with materials management and supply chain processes
- Ability to perform basic financial analysis related to inventory management
- Experience with data visualization tools is a bonus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
