We are seeking a highly energetic and engaging Infant Teacher to join our team. As an Infant Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in providing nurturing care and facilitating early childhood development for infants aged 6 weeks to 18 months. Your passion for working with infants, coupled with your enthusiasm for creating a stimulating and safe learning environment, will contribute to the holistic development of our youngest learners.
Responsibilities:
- Infant Care: Provide attentive and compassionate care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and ensuring a clean and safe environment at all times.
- Developmental Activities: Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth, tailored to the needs of individual infants.
- Stimulation and Engagement: Engage infants in interactive experiences through music, storytelling, sensory exploration, and age-appropriate toys to foster curiosity and learning.
- Communication: Maintain open and proactive communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress, milestones, and daily activities.
- Observation and Assessment: Conduct ongoing observations and assessments of each infant's development, documenting milestones and identifying areas for further support or enrichment.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including proper sanitation practices, safe sleep guidelines, and emergency procedures, to ensure the well-being of infants at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and staff members to create a cohesive and supportive environment that prioritizes the needs of infants and promotes a positive learning community.
Qualifications:
- Education: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience working with infants in a childcare or early education setting. Experience with diverse learning needs and abilities is desirable.
- Passion: Genuine passion for working with infants and supporting their growth and development during the critical early years.
- Energy and Enthusiasm: High levels of energy, enthusiasm, and creativity to engage infants in meaningful learning experiences and foster a stimulating environment.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with infants, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience and Compassion: Patience, empathy, and a nurturing disposition to respond sensitively to the individual needs and cues of infants.
- Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to the shared goals of the program.
