Mobile Therapy Centers (MTC) is a private practice with a progressive service delivery model, where the therapists come to the client. Over the last 18 years, Mobile Therapy Centers has evolved from a single therapist offering a single service to employing over 100 health professionals, who provide a multitude of high-quality customized therapeutic services (ABA Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Behavioral Therapy and Counseling) for children, teens, adults, and families.
Mobile Therapy Centers (MTC) is looking for Senior RBT to join its growing team! Gain training and skills to support a career in behavior analysis, behavioral health, teaching, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, counseling, and mental health. This role is a Full-time position from 8AM to 5PM, Mon to Fri.
What your workday looks like:
- Provide support and additional training to RBTs and direct support staff on program implementation.
- Creating an environment where co-workers can support, assist, and discover new ways of working as a team.
- Properly document all time and services on a progress note at the end of each session.
- Assist with transitions when other staff are running late or stuck with a current client.
- Ensure that everything is ready for the next business day.
- Participate in all training, clinic, safety and team meetings.
- Will have your own session scheduled and fill in when coverage is needed.
- Will assist in school or in home sessions if needed while transitioning a therapist.
- Follow all MTC contract-specific policies and procedures.
- Represents MTC in a positive and professional manner in the home and community.
- Demonstrates positive rapport with clients (including but not limited to the treatment team, family, case manager) and treats client with respect while maintaining professional boundaries as evidenced by client/other satisfaction.
- Provide staff support, training, and modeling for team members in strategies and methodologies for working with children on the autism spectrum and/or clients who have behavioral, adaptive, and/or social/communication challenges.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with families, staff, an --d colleagues.
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
- Always maintain compliance with HIPAA requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by director.
Clinic Duties
- Daily walk around and wipe down tables, door handles and light switches in all areas.
- Ensure that rooms are clean on a daily basis.
- Wipe down windows and glass doors around the clinic when needed.
- Ensure the kitchen is stocked with paper towels, disinfectant wipes and refill dish soap as needed.
- Ensure bathrooms have paper towels, toilet paper and soap.
- Ensure sure binders have daily sheets, a pencil/pen and binder clip.
- Daily Empty Dishwasher as needed (based on location)
- Daily Wipe down ABA Toys and organize aba storage bins.
- Remove garbage daily, diaper genies, kitchen, bathrooms, front desk, etc.
- Clean out Fridge on Friday every week, remind staff.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Must be able to work effectively as a team member and under supervision, demonstrate flexibility and
- Desire to learn new skills and improve professional qualifications, and travel independently in rural/remote locations.
- Ability to problem-solve and assist in decision-making, including during emergencies or when a supervisor is not onsite.
- Maintain current status regarding assigned core competencies and other required certification acquisitions within established schedules and timelines.
- Proven creative abilities, and strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills and good customer service skills.
II. Position Requirements:
- RBT Certification 1 Year of experience
- Reliable, Punctual, Flexible and dependability with schedule a must.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel as needed (valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance).
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, execute deadlines, and produce high-quality deliverables with attention to details.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members while maintaining a positive and solution focused attitude.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook; ability to use new computer systems and iPads.
- Must be able to work Full-time with a flexible schedule. (Includes opening and closing clinic, weekend company events).
III. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
- Be able to work with patients who are seated on the floor, in small chairs, or other home, school, community and clinic environments.
- Move frequently throughout the therapeutic setting to gather materials, anticipate, and respond to the movement of a patient, and/or provide instruction in a variety of settings, such as school, playground, clinic, or community locations.
- Constantly position oneself to participate and respond to the movements and behaviors of patients, including but not limited to bending to assist a patient, kneeling/crouching to teach a play skill, hurrying to block an open doorway, or reaching to prevent a patient from entering a traffic congested street.
- Be able to utilize continuous visual tracking in order to monitor the movement of patients, as well as the items and circumstances in the surrounding environment.
- Occasionally move to evade aggressive behaviors and/or physically block attempts to aggress towards others.
- Responding to behaviors may occasionally require bearing weight of a patient who is leaning, pushing, etc.
- Frequently teach patients to use vocal speech. Must be able to articulate sound and model speaking clearly, as well as listen to and shape vocal communication of patients.
- Occasionally use modeling to teach gross motor skills, such as climbing or jumping, and fine motor skills such as clapping or opening a container
- Work in both indoor and outdoor settings as they relate to the patient’s natural environment, which may include being outdoors in a variety of weather conditions (e.g., community skills, recess in a school setting, etc.)
