Job Description
The Student Hourly Assistant under general supervision, will support the department at the Northwest Houston Center.
Responsibilities:
Assist with marketing efforts utilizing all social media platforms. Develop flyer and advertising materials.
Answer phone and greet guest. Support staff with administrative projects.
Support staff in planning, execution of strategic initiatives for the Northwest Houston Center, including but not limited to orientations, summer programs and plans.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Presently enrolled at Prairie View A&M University for at least nine (9) graduate or six (6) undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done.
Must be in good academic standing (SAP) as demonstrated through your college; minimum 2.0 GPA
No prior experience necessary
For work eligibility during a summer term, a student must be enrolled for at least three (3) graduate or undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done or preregistered at least six (6) undergraduate semester hours or nine (9) graduate semester hours for the upcoming fall term.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge with Excel/Word (office).
Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills.
Familiar with all social media platforms. Skilled at developing flyers and marketing material.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Be available to work evenings and Saturdays at the Northwest Houston Center location.
