Job Summary: The Front Desk Agent is responsible for warmly welcoming and checking in/out guests at The Sheraton Palo Alto. This is a full-time, hourly position within the hospitality and restaurant industry. As an individual contributor, the Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests.

Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, providing a warm welcome and offering assistance with any needs or inquiries
- Efficiently check guests in and out, while accurately recording all necessary information and adhering to company policies and procedures
- Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensuring proper payment and documentation
- Answer phones, take reservations, and assist guests with any questions or concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, including the lobby and adjoining areas
- Complete daily reports and tasks, including balancing cash drawers and making room reservations
- Handle and resolve guest complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Follow all safety and security procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of guests and team members
- Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service or front desk role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Proficient in using computer systems and basic software
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
