Natural Retreats is hiring a part-time, seasonal housekeeper to join our Hot Springs, VA team! The Housekeeper is an essential member of the Housekeeping Department, helping ensure all properties in the Hot Springs portfolio remain in pristine condition according to Natural Retreats’ quality and brand standards.
- This is a seasonal position estimated to last until September 15, 2024.
COMPENSATION: $14.00/hr.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for the full clean of residences upon guest departure

In the absence of Management, check residences prior to the arrival of guests to ensure all residences are in pristine condition
-
Using the checklist for each residence, ensure that all areas have been cleaned and prepared to the required standard

Use the correct cleaning products for the relevant jobs and ensure hygiene levels are kept to a high standard
-
Regularly change cleaning materials (e.g. wipes, dusters, etc.) to ensure they are effective and hygienic

Change all bed linens to a high standard, ensuring all linen is clean, unmarked, and presentable
-
Escalate linen damage and/or imperfections to the relevant manager
-
Ensure toiletries are replenished
-
Ensure bathrooms are cleaned to a high standard and are sufficiently stocked
-
Vacuum, sweep, and wash flooring as appropriate.

Clean refrigerators, ovens, microwaves, and stoves inside and out
-
Periodically conduct deep cleans of ovens, microwaves, stoves, and refrigerators
-
Sweep porches/decks of each residence prior to guest arrival to ensure they are free of leaves, debris, etc.

Clean windows (inside) to ensure they are smear free
-
Inform relevant management team of dirty external window concerns

For residences which have open fires, ensure the fireplace is cleaned and prepared for use, and that there is a full supply of wood and kindling

Spot check each residence throughout the clean and escalate any maintenance issues to the relevant manager

Manage the cleaning material and linen supplies. Reorder when necessary

Greet all guests in a friendly, welcoming manner

Promptly fulfill all guest requests. If unable to fulfill the request, raise with the relevant manager

Keep guests informed of progress on requests, communicating in a friendly, positive manner

Approach all tasks and requests with a ‘can do’ attitude

Escalate any general issues with the residences to the relevant manager promptly

Be an ambassador for Natural Retreats in all areas. Remain presentable, always wearing the correct NR uniform

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a part-time, seasonal position. Due to the nature of the job, the Housekeeper should be flexible with his/her hours. Weekends and holidays will generally be busy with guest arrivals and departures and are considered working days. We encourage all our Team Members to take two (2) days off per week where possible, knowing that guests can arrival at unpredictable times. Guests can arrive at unpredictable times, and the Housekeeper should always be available in case of emergency, which includes evenings. Generally, this may mean working some inconsistent hours. Exact daily schedules may vary from season to season and differ from in-season to off-season and are subject to change and vary based on occupancy, arrivals, and departures.
