About Us: Yanagi Kitchen is a take-out only sushi restaurant nestled within the South Bay Area. We are dedicated to delivering top-notch sushi creations to our customers, and we take pride in our commitment to quality, innovation, and excellent customer service.
Position: Sushi Chef
Requirements:
- Able to work Monday, Thursday and Sunday from 2:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience creating sushi rolls and handling fresh fish for sushi preparation.
- Proficiency in the art of sushi making, including precision in rolling techniques and impeccable knife skills.
- A strong understanding of sushi ingredients, flavor combinations, and presentation aesthetics.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver consistently outstanding dishes under pressure.
- Able to clean as you go and have good knowledge in cleanliness and food safety.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering a memorable dining experience.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities:
- Craft visually stunning and delicious sushi rolls, showcasing your expertise and creativity.
- Skillfully cut and prepare various types of fresh fish for sushi, ensuring the highest standards of quality and taste.
- Collaborate with our team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and efficient service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in your workspace, washing dishes and adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to our unique approach to take out only kitchen operations.
- Participate in ongoing training to refine your skills and stay up-to-date with our evolving menu offerings.
