Customer Service Representative Job Summary
We’re seeking an organized and highly motivated insurance customer service representative to join our growing team. Responsibilities include managing incoming phone calls, nurturing key relationships, and keeping track of all necessary documentation, paying close attention to any policy changes, important deadlines, and legal regulations. You will help customers understand their policy's coverages, assist them with filing a claim, answer the customers billing questions, ensure all relevant data is properly tracked in our secured systems, scan/upload client documents, and assist insurance agents in the office. Insurance Customer Service Representative Responsibilities
- Answering phone calls and emails
- Give clear answers to clients on any coverage or billing questions to ensure full understanding
- Update policy changes for customers
- Gather all documentation needed for reporting a claim
- Gather information on a new customer intake form
- Data entry into agency management system
- Meet regularly with agents to keep up with industry standards, insurance products, current rates, coverages, insurance policies, and carriers, so you can assist clients and underwriters
Insurance Customer Service Representative Qualifications
- Active insurance license or willing to get licensed in 90 days
- Insurance experience or other position is preferred but we can work with the right fit
- Must have very strong follow up, written and verbal communication skills, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and organization skills are key
- Candidates should have basic computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel PowerPoint, etc.)
