Duties:
- Train, manage, and schedule employees and processes for a new restaurant opening.
- POS knowledge to program and operate state of the art POS system.
-Support, educate and maintain a positive food and beverage service culture.
-Create a positive work environment using interpersonal mgt skills, empathy and understanding for a diverse staff and work force.
- Operate coffee brewing equipment and espresso machines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and coffee bar area.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing prompt and friendly service.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines when handling food and beverages.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
-Assist hiring and interviewing baristas, food servers, and coffee employees.
Skills:
- Previous service and mgt experience
- Previous experience in food service mgt is preferred
- Knowledge of different coffee brewing methods and techniques
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers
- Understanding of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Strong sales skills to upsell products and promote specials or loyalty programs
- Proficiency in operating a cash register or point-of-sale system
