Summary: Core Land Consulting is a professional land surveying company located in Southeast Michigan. We are looking to add a full time dedicated and ambitious person to assist in our growth objectives. Core Land Consulting performs all types of surveying projects with a focus on construction staking and ALTA surveys. Prior field experience in these areas is required. Previous experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
Job Requirements:
· Strong work ethic, dependable and motivated.
· Working knowledge of computers and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
· Strong organization/time management skills.
Responsibilities:
· Will work primarily in the field on control, boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout surveys.
· Collect survey data as required in accordance with industry and client specifications, scopes of work, and work plans.
· Perform mathematical calculations and field checking/staking.
· Must be able to perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence.
· Supervise and assist other members of the survey crew.
· Daily coordination with office staff.
· Willing and able to continually learn new techniques and processes.
Position Qualifications:
· A high school diploma, or equivalent, is required.
· 1-3 years of experience in surveying, preferably in boundary retracement and construction staking.
· Proficient with Trimble Access software for Trimble TSC7, S7 total station and R12 GPS equipment is preferred.
· Ability to write legibly and convey technical information as well as the ability to effectively present information, communicate, and respond to questions from co-workers and clients.
· Effective communication skills, both orally and written are essential.
· Candidate must possess a valid drivers' license with insurable driving record.
Preferred Experience:
· 3-5 years of experience in the role of Crew Chief.
· Experience in construction staking.
Physical Requirements:
· Work overtime as needed;
· The ability to work outside; stand; walk; lift and carry equipment; operate equipment in all types of weather and terrain, is a requirement.
· Ability to work as a one-person crew utilizing robotic and GPS equipment
