At Tectonic Design Build, our Interior Designer is an integral part of our design planning process. This person is a team-player with exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and an eye for design. This designer is self-motivated, open to learning new processes, has great communication skills, and is able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
The Interior Designer contributes to the success of our company by assisting with all aspects of our design planning process, including but not limited to: client onboarding, conceptual board building, initial budgeting, design development, and bringing the project to completion in final design.
The salaried pay range for a Interior Designer is $62,000-$75,000, commensurate with experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaboration

Develop trusting relationships with clients to move them through Tectonic processes, while maintaining client expectations

Maintain consistent and clear communication with clients in Buildertrend throughout the duration of their project

Create and maintain positive relationships with all existing and future vendors and trade partners
-
Work seamlessly with all design and production partners within the Tectonic team
Design Planning
-
Onboard all new clients and assist in client set up and the coordination of site scan and client meeting
-
Ability to run several client projects autonomously with minimal direction

Gather, input and organize data for selections, bids, scheduling, etc. into our systems
-
Scheduling showroom appointments, client meetings and overseeing the design direction of each project, with guidance from Lead Designer

Develop project elevations in collaboration with Architect,
-
PreConstruction Manager, and Lead Designer

Ability to present design vision to clients and trade partners
-
Assisting on all design related needs for projects in Production, with guidance from Lead Designer
-
Assisting with staging, video, and photography needs for any project designer owns, with guidance from Lead Designer Systems
-
Ability to manage project schedules and to-do tasks within Buildertrend
-
Manage allowances allocated in Buildertrend and produce final interior selection bids that align with clients budget

Ability to build and maintain our design sample library, while researching new products and materials

Manage and track time efficiently to ensure all parties are staying within each jobs projected time frame

REQUIREMENTS

2+ years of related experience as an interior designer, preferably in the residential landscape. (required)

Degree in design, design certificate, or equivalent experience (required)

Technologically literate, including but not limited to:

Proficient with AutoCAD (required)

Proficient with Google Workspace

Familiarity with Buildertrend, Zoom, Canva and Slack
-
Able to quickly learn new software systems

Portfolio of design sketches, renderings, selections (required)

Excellent communication skills, particularly with client customer service

Organized, detail-oriented, proactive and a problem solver

Passionate about design and driven to help grow the Tectonic brand

Ability to work cross-departmentally to support the various aspects of design planning and construction, but also able to work independently when needed

Ability to travel across Boulder and Denver county as needed for site assessments, client meetings, showrooms, sample procurement, etc.
