Home builder and developer currently looking for a coordinator for the planning and pre-construction department. This position will provide support to the construction team including but not limited to the following duties:
- Manage the preconstruction phase of projects from inception to completion
- Coordinate with architects, engineers and subcontractors, to develop comprehensive project plans.
- Maintain and organize project files.
- Distribute all correspondence as directed.
- Implementation of various pre-construction systems and processes.
- Coordinate with accounting correct billings to the appropriate owner/architect.
- Preparation of project files; including plotting, AutoCAD, PDF drawings and specifications for distribution.
- Prepare submittal packages as required.
- Plan submittal to the City of Houston.
- Maintain submittal logs and distribute approved drawings to appropriate field employees.
- Weekly update of pre-construction project status report.
- Coordinate pre-construction meetings with service providers such as power consultants, cable and internet providers, as required.
- Coordinate plan reviews as required during the construction process.
- Coordinate utility providers during construction.
- Maintain constant communication with the field supervisors and construction manager for all plan revisions and utility requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date project timeline information in construction management software.
Qualifications:
- 3 years experience in the construction industry.
- Excellent communication and intrapersonal skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office and Office software.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred.
Salary:
$50,000 - $60,000 per year, DOE
