Position Title: Packaging Lead

Job Description:
The Packaging Lead will work closely with all leads and managers to ensure packaging efficiency and priorities within the packaging team, utilize/troubleshoot all packaging equipment and standard processes, and help to guide new packaging employees. Packaging Lead will also be responsible for all packaging and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:

Support Operations Manager and Logistics Manager in daily operations

Evaluates capabilities of all packaging lines are efficient, complete, and consistent

Communicate expectations and assign tasks to packaging team
-
Train support team on necessary operations in a supportive and efficient manner

Ensure all machines are in working order and prioritizing any maintenance in alignment with Operations Manager

Visually and manually inspect finished product to ensure accuracy and quality

Communicate clearly and frequently with support staff and team
-
Lead the staff through new projects as required, know the packaging schedule daily

Perform all duties of support staff if needed

Delegating tasks to support staff, including organization of materials, taking out garbage and cleaning packaging spaces

Create and print batch labels that are compliant and accurate

Understand and utilize the METRC system

Receive all transfers from production facility

Audit complete batches prior to transferring to fulfillment

Inspire Packaging Team to produce consistent and quality results

Understand how to open and close the facility

Work Environment:
This work environment can be loud, with large machinery operating 24 hours a day and two departments working side by side. The Employee may be exposed to cleaning chemicals and intense smells from different products. The environment is cool as our facility is kept at 68 degrees or lower to stabilize the chocolate.

Compensation:
This position starts at $21/hr with structured growth potential
