The Care Coordinator III/Behavior Technician provides supervision for ROWI clients, ensuring their safety while building a rapport with them. This includes providing assistance to each client in working with a group and in handling individual problems; responsibility for setting of limits for behavior; reporting and documenting client progress. Most importantly, knowing when to communicate observations and request engagement or intervention by professional staff. The Client Care Coordinator III/Behavior Technician also performs administrative tasks and coordinates snacks and meals for clients. The Care Coordinator II is also expected to serve as an exemplary role model with a positive, caring, and professional attitude, maintaining the confidential nature of client interactions while performing duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and as assigned.
- Responsible for being aware of where all assigned clients are and what they are doing at all times. When assigned to a one-to-one client care, the requirement is to have eyes on the client at all times during the assigned period. In the event that a client is observed leaving the facility, the expectation is to follow them until further assistance can be provided.
- Act as a role model with a positive and professional demeanor; maintain clear and effective communication with both staff and clients’ families.
- Check emails and daily schedules to prepare for new admits and continuing client arrivals.
- Perform client check in upon arrival. This includes LOC, KIPU and billing sheet updates.
- Track client attendance in KIPU.
- Coordinate client intake process, including all required documentation and conduct orientation for new admissions.
- Perform limited chart auditing including group notes, open evaluations, pending signatures, clinical documents and level of care ad authorization days.
- Check Parent Satisfaction Surveys and Client Satisfaction Surveys on KIPU for client graduations.
- Arrange and/or provide client transportation. This includes community outings and doctor appointments in company vehicles, safely and legally.
- Supervise and facilitate client participation in scheduled groups and activities. Work closely with Primary Therapists and Program Directors to keep client group schedules timely.
- Take and log client vitals as needed.
- Assist clients with urine analysis and submit orders to Quest Diagnostics.
- Perform meal orders, serve client snacks and meals.
- Maintain adherence to all regulatory compliance requirements and standards.
- Complete all clerical tasks and documentation assigned, including logs, in a timely manner.
- Assist in maintaining facility cleanliness.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all client records and information.
- High school diploma required.
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology and currently working toward Master’s degree is a plus.
- Registered Behavior Technician certifications preferred.
- Minimum of three years experience in a professional, licensed child care facility or behavioral care environment or working with adolescents in a behavioral or therapeutic setting.
- Ability to run groups and possess experience in behavior management and creativity.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse backgrounds and age levels.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a minimum of two years driving experience.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Set and maintain clear boundaries with clients and staff.
- Work effectively within an interdisciplinary team environment.
- Engage in appropriate written and verbal communication with client families and other care professionals as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Frequent walking, standing, sitting, bending throughout the entire and regular work shift.
- Ability and availability to work overtime as needed.
