MAINTENANCE IS A VALUED DEPARTMENT
The POLYWOOD Maintenance Department strives to repair anything from complex electrical, mechanical or pneumatic issues to doing preventative maintenance on machines. Our goal is to eliminate downtime and be proactive in keeping machines running as they should. We also strive to keep our plants and offices clean and neat with our on site cleaning and grounds crews.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Required Qualifications:
1. Perform machine repairs - dismantle and repair
2. Perform Preventative Maintenance (PMs) on Work Orders (WOs)
3. Know basic electricity - 1PH and 3PH
4. Perform WOs through our computerized maintenance program (CMMS)
5. Perform general plumbing - PVC, PEX, black and galvanized piping
6. Operate TIG and MIG welders - perform on-site welding with portable welder
7. Perform basic electrical diagnosis on circuits, switches, and connections
8. Perform routine duties as building maintenance, snow removal, rack replacement, etc.
9. Be able to look up parts per our WO system (CMMS)
Other Qualifications:
1. Know how to read electrical prints and schematics
2. Be able to diagnose control circuits, PLCs, frequency drives, power supplies, etc.
3. Perform CNC diagnostics and repairs
4. Perform extruder and downstream diagnostics and repairs
5. Perform basic HVAC and chiller diagnostics
6. Install EMT conduit and land wires
7. Perform sewing machine and fabric CNC diagnostics and repairs
8. Perform forklift and golf cart repairs
Requirements:
- 5+ years general maintenance experience with at least 1 year minimum experience in the following areas: Mig, tig and stick welding experience as well as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, glass repair/replacement, read and understand blueprints, electrical schematics and control circuitry as well as ability to layout, design and implement 120-480 volt single and three phase high voltage wiring circuits

Experience with electrical and pneumatic tool repair, vacuum pumps and systems, CNC driven machinery, heating elements, bands and temperature controllers

Run/route/hang/bend electrical conduit and size loads from an electrical panel

Various electrical, mechanical and pneumatic troubleshooting skills

Knowledge and understanding of electrical motor horsepowers and troubleshoot failures.

Basic safety procedures and programs such as lockout/tag out
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations a Plus
Power Lift Certification, Welding Certification, Blood Borne Pathogens Certification, First Aid Certification and CPR Certification a plus.
