About ECU Health Beaufort Hospital, a campus of ECU Health Medical Center
ECU Health Beaufort Hospital is located in Washington and serves as a campus ECU Health Medical Center, our Level I Trauma Center in Greenville. The 142-bed full-service hospital offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services including medical, surgical, intensive care, emergency, pediatrics and women's services. In addition there is a lab, diagnostic imaging services, physical and respiratory therapy. The facility also features the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, offering leading-edge chemotherapy and radiation therapy, among other cancer services.
Position Summary
- Responsible for creating the first impression of the organization's services to patients and families and other external customers.

Essential duties may include scheduling, registration and insurance verification for both outpatient and inpatient services by collecting proper demographic information and securing authorizations for procedures.

Acts as the primary liaison for patients receiving professional and hospital services at ECU Health.
Minimum Requirements
Requirements

High School or Equivalent (GED) or higher is required

2 years Customer Service is required

Excellent communication (both written and oral), detail orientation, organization, and multitasking skills required

Basic computer skills
Preferred Requirements

Associate Degree or higher preferred

1 to 2 years of Registration and/or Billing experience within a healthcare setting is preferred.

- This position is full-time (36hrs/week) day shift - 6:45am - 7:15pm three days per week.

Will be required to work some weekends.
