Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for assisting the finance team with various accounting and administrative tasks.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Sort paychecks for distribution.
- Assist with check deposits, cash deposits and reconciliations for hotel, food and beverage, and apartment buildings.
- Deposit apartment building laundry cash.
- Track hotel and restaurant staff cash shortages.
- Prepare American Express reconciliations for managers.
- Assist executives with preparation of expense reports.
- Manage accounting office reception duties.
- Assist with bookkeeping for various entities.
- Order emergency supplies as requested for operations.
- Order office supplies.
- Assist with accounts payable.
- Coordinate mail distribution.
- Complete ad hoc projects including filing.
- Additional duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
- College degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 6 months of hotel or restaurant experience.
- Must be organized and self -starter.
- Previous experience working in an accounting office a plus.
- The individual must work onsite during regular office hours Monday to Friday.
- Must have working knowledge of office procedures and the Microsoft suite.
- Must be fluent in English, written and verbal.
