Job Title: Non Destructive Testing (NDT) Tech

C&S PROPELLER BACKGROUND
For nearly five decades, C&S propeller has provided operators of the 54H60-propeller system the highest level of technical knowledge along with unmatched quality in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of their propeller systems. As a recognized FAA and EASA certificated repair station, C&S continues to grow its level of products and services, expending resources toward discovering new and innovative means by which to serve the aviation and aerospace industry.
POSITION PURPOSE;
Responsible for performing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of Propeller System Articles for Commercial and Military operators that require various NDT inspection methods including Eddy Current (ET), Magnetic Particle (MT), Fluorescent Liquid Penetrant (PT), and Ultrasonic (UT). Interpret and document NDT results and maintain production NDT equipment that supports overhaul and repair of Hamilton Standard aircraft propeller systems to airworthiness.

Responsibilities/Duties
- Establish and maintain techniques too properly examine hardware, ensuring adherence to all safety and specification requirements.
- Perform Inspections using Eddy Current (ET), Magnetic Particle (MT), Fluorescent Liquid Penetrant (PT), and Ultrasonic (UT) Methods
- Interpret inspection results and apply acceptance criteria identified on drawing or shop work order.
- Perform all necessary daily, weekly, monthly process control checks
- Document inspection results
- Interface and communicate with quality and the responsible level 3 to describe inspection results

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School graduate
- NDT Level II Certification with current revision of NAS-410 for at least ET, MT,PT
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
1 to 3 years’ experience with the following:
- Aerospace related experience
- Magnetic Particle (MT), Penetrant (PT), Eddy Current (ET) with direct experience in inspecting and interpreting aluminum cast products.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- NDT Level II Certification with current revision of NAS-410 for at least ET, MT,PT
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed and complicated written or oral instructions;
- Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events; Obsessive attention to detail, ability to balance multiple work assignments; organized work habits; ability to work independently. Proficiency with major software programs: e.g. Made to Manage, MS Office Suite.
- Able to read, understand and follow aircraft manuals and other directions written in the English language
- Ability to correctly complete paperwork in compliance with work orders and job manuals
- Must be able to use hand tools, micrometers, air gages, and other special tools. Ability to read manuals and have basic math for mechanical measurements. Must be able to read and understand technical documentation.
