Job Summary
The Operations Supervisor is directly responsible for the daily performance of warehouse operations, providing leadership to all DC internal departments, as well as delivering exceptional customer experience, driving inventory accuracy, and ensuring regulatory and ISO 9001 compliance. Responsibilities include managing DC lead-persons and employees that receive, store, pick, pack, ship, and conduct inventory tasks. This position ensures that all receipts and returns are processed and stocked in accordance with company policies and guidelines. Additional responsibilities include assisting the Warehouse Manager with daily process performance, customer service, compliance, and serving as a liaison across the company and third-party providers.
Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities

Provide a safe work environment that includes daily monitoring of employee activities, providing constructive feedback, and weekly safety training/audit events.

Provide management of the daily activities within the Distribution Center, including providing leadership to non-exempt employees. Responsibilities include designing process workflows and overall departmental productivity.

Monitor receipt transactions: make and implement enhancements to reduce losses. Establish process rules to ensure proper flow of inventory movements.
- Perform administrative functions for these areas that include the coordination of special requests, payroll reconciliation, hiring, and other personnel decisions.

Create, modify, and execute various reports from various sources and data mining tools to monitor inventory movement and capacity to ensure effective slotting is being achieved and inventory issues are being corrected.

Work directly with business partners in areas including Purchasing, Information Technology, and Customer Service to research and resolve inventory variances between systems, customer shipment errors, and customer inquiries.

Proactively manage employee relations. This includes meetings, feedback sessions, and initiating problem solving as needed.
Qualifications
-
Four-year degree in supply chain/logistics or equivalent work experience.

Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office is required. Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems, Slotting Software, Transportation Management Systems, and/or ERP Systems is preferred.

Background in LEAN, Six Sigma, and/or continuous improvement is preferred.
