Qualifications:
The 2 -3 years old Teachers must comply with the minimum educational standards as set forth by the company and current governmental regulations
Experience: Previous experience in a group program for children under six years of age Requirements and Certifications:
- Good character and reputation
- Be of sufficient physical, mental and emotional health to perform job duties satisfactorily
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
- Possess skills, attributes and characteristics conductive to and suitable for dealing with children
- Must speak English well enough to communicate with children, staff, management and parents
- Must be able to read and write English well enough to prepare, complete and maintain administrative forms and records as required by current governmental regulations and company policies
- Infant/Pediatric CPR/First Aid (required) Pre-service training for caregivers must cover the following areas:
- Developmental stages of children.
- Age-appropriate activities for children.
- Positive guidance and discipline of children.
- Fostering children’s self esteem
- Supervision and safety practices in the care of children.
- Positive interaction with children
- Preventing and controlling the spread of communicable diseases, including immunizations
Working Conditions: The Toddler/Twaddler/Prepper teacher shall be primarily assigned to a single childcare center and be able to implement The Learning Experience program during normal center hours and adhere to a schedule that may include evenings and weekends. The Toddler/Twaddler/Prepper teacher may serve in a co-teaching capacity based on class enrollment and ratios.
The Toddler/Twaddler/Prepper teacher may spend a lot of time on their feet and include both indoor and outdoor activities.
The work can be demanding and stressful and requires flexibility in a fastpaced environment. The variety of work entails the supervision of children, the ability to work with management and complete administrative tasks as well as the ability to assess the performance of students and communicate student progress with parents Primary responsibilities:
First and foremost, the Toddler/Twaddler/Prepper teacher’s responsibility will be the safety and well-being of the children and staff while implementing the specific classroom program in alignment with company policies, philosophies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all current government rules and regulations that pertain to the operation of The Learning Experience centers. • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all policies and procedures contained in the operations manual, employee handbook, student enrollment packet, and • Curriculum guides • Establish a well-managed classroom incorporating all center programs within the daily schedule for toddlers • Utilize a center-based approach to offer children an opportunity for creative and independent activities • Attend staff meetings, trainings and workshops as requested • Work with the Center Director to hold Open House and Parental Conferences • Maintain student records as required • Report all problems to the Center Director • Train and co-teach as requested • Prepare class materials • Prepare and distribute snack and lunch as required under the direction of the Center Director or Food and Nutrition Coordinator • Maintain a “Tour Ready” classroom • Clean and maintain the classroom as described by daily checklist • Prepare children for entry into next classroom • Participate in company promotions • Support center staff as requested Cleaning and maintaining the general appearance of the class, the center and its common areas.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
