Required:
- Valid New York State HHA or PCA Certificate a must
- Driver’s License and/or any 2 forms of ID
- Recent physical from your doctor
- Speak and understand English as needed for the job
The Role:
- Reliable, Compassionate and Caring.
- Light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, companionship, bathing, dressing, grooming.
- Following the care plan provided by the agency which may include helping patient with daily functions such as dressing or taking bath
- Maintaining Daily Time-Sheets and reporting to nurses if there is a change in the patients’ health status
- Scheduling doctors’ appointments if requested by the client.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
- Experience using phone device to clock in and out
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to caregiving
