Overview:
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, address customer inquiries and concerns, and ensure customers receive accurate and timely assistance with their property-related matters. Responsibilities:
- Responding to inquiries from property owners in a timely and professional manner
- Providing accurate information regarding property appraisal and tax assessment process
- Assisting customers with completing forms and applications for exemptions or appeals
- Collaborating with other departments to resolve customer issues or concerns
- Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and transactions
- Educating customers on their rights and responsibilities as property owners
- Keeping abreast of changes in property tax laws and regulations
- Participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance customer service skills and knowledge of property appraisal processes
- Remaining calm and professional under pressure, especially when dealing with challenging situations or irate customers
- Adhering to strict confidentiality guidelines to protect sensitive customer information
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling customer information
- Knowledge of property appraisal processes and tax laws (preferred)
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
- Knowledge of operating basic office equipment and multi-lined phone systems
Qualifications:
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent (Associate's Degree preferred)
- Previous experience in customer service or a related field preferred
- Additional training in property appraisal or tax assessment may be required, depending on the specific requirements of the position.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Occasional lifting of boxes or files weighing up to 20 pounds
