Behavior Technician
Duties:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
- Assist in the development and implementation of behavior support plans
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure consistent and effective care
- Follow all HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality of client information
- Administer medication as directed by medical professionals
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mealtime routines
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, social work, education)
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with PTSD care and trauma-informed approaches
- Ability to administer medication following proper protocols and guidelines
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of medical documentation procedures and requirements, including HIPAA compliance
