Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work in a team or autonomously to complete work orders and provide electrical/maintenance support on automated production equipment.
- Troubleshoot, maintain and modify PLCs and programming to repair, improve and optimize processes for high speed production equipment and batch processes.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment, using precision measurement tools.
- Interpret schematics and equipment manuals to troubleshoot equipment.
- Complete assigned work efficiently and per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's). • Lead process improvement and initiate change.
- Analyze process data and make decisions on equipment maintenance and improvement activities.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) to increase equipment reliability and up-time.
- Calibrate analog and digital instrumentation.
- Repair, install and program VFD’s.
- Comply with all safety standards and regulations provided by the company and government (e.g. LOTO, Work Permits, etc.)
- Utilize Dude Solutions (CMMS) to accurately and thoroughly document and track all corrective work orders and preventive maintenance work orders performed throughout the course of the day; including searching and issuing parts, documenting equipment issues and entering inspection/measurement points.
- Prioritize and self-schedule maintenance work around production activities to achieve both production and maintenance KPI's.
- Drive U.S. Waffle’s goals & objectives through individually led projects and continuous improvement activities.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, replace and install electrical AC/DC controls
- Power distribution troubleshooting and electrical installations
- Suggest, design and upgrade existing equipment controls • Develop, create and keep current all electrical documentation.
- Ethernet I/O troubleshooting and setup
- Work from drawings, blueprints, worksheets, and other related documents.
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of manufacturing and facility equipment.
- Performs other responsibilities and duties assigned by manager
Education, Work Experience and Skills Requirements:
- Ability to read, write, and intermediate mathematical skills are required
- High School Diploma or GED required,
- 3 year industrial electrical/programming experience and two-year technical degree preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, multi crafted worker that is able to work autonomously in a fast paced and often loud production environment.
- Knowledge of safety policies and procedures is required (e.g. lock out / tag out, high voltage electrical).
- PLC experience required; Allen Bradley, Control Logix, HMI, and Servo Drive programming and troubleshooting experience required. Gas burner control experience a is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems, identify root causes (e.g. six sigma analysis) and propose and implement remedies.
- Ability to perform calibrations, installation and maintenance of process and analytical instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Strong computer skills required; Microsoft Office Excel proficiency as well as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems experience preferred.
- Experience in computer networking (routers, Ethernet, switches, etc.) preferred.
- Electrical troubleshooting experience in high speed packaging and/or highly automated continuous process environment preferred
- Ability to perform electrical repairs and installations.
- Ability to work off shifts and overtime as necessary. Must be able to work in varying temperatures and climates.

- Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
- Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and all other food safety requirements
- Complies with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE’s) requirements
- Reports any food safety problems or potentially unsafe practices/conditions to lead or supervisor
- Constant walking and standing on hard concrete service
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, lifting and climbing
- Position will require working in very hot conditions
- Other conditions include flour dust, wet floors, occasional smoke and fumes if product burns
