Job Summary:
The Content Creator is responsible for all photography and video for social media, events, website, marketing and sales. While the primary focus is handling the camera and creating content, you’ll also upload photos and videos to our online shop, website, and social feeds.
Social Media at Half Acre is a highly influential brand experience. Visual aesthetics are vital to the expression of the Half Acre culture and community. Photography and video are an art and social media is our digital gallery. We’re less interested in social media trends and tactics.
You need to have technical mastery in operating a camera for stills and motion, as well as using lenses, lighting, reflectors, and editing software. Those skills should be matched by an ability to compose compelling scenes. Think cinematic, dramatic, emotive, beautiful. For you, knowledge of light, shadow, and color are equal to aperture, focus, and exposure. You will be hands-on building tabletop sets, staging props, and selecting locations.
Emphasis is to be a creator. A creative engine with conceptual vision to capture people’s interest. You won’t be alone in this role. You’ll be part of our small, but mighty creative team, collaborating closely with a trio of designers. You’ll be expected to participate in team discussion and add perspective to the conversation. We value respectful, open-minded, and constructive dialogue.
This is an entry level role with full time hours and benefits. You don’t need to have professional experience. You do need to behave like a professional. Half Acre is a welcoming, inclusive environment.
