Your Role With Us:
As a Certified Medical Assistant with Salem Health, you will be considered a critical part of your patient’s care team. The multi-disciplinary care teams include physicians and advanced care clinicians, care management, RN triage, clinical pharmacists, licensed clinical social workers and PMHNPs, as well as onsite specialty providers.
In this role, you will work closely with patients to prepare them for medical care, perform routine tests, provide treatment and administer medications. You will also field and conduct patient calls, manage the EPIC in-basket and prepare/update patient charts.

- Monmouth Clinic, located in the scenic college town, Monmouth, Oregon, is 15 miles West of Salem, Oregon. The Monmouth clinic has 2 FT PCP’s, as well as onsite lab, PT, OT and ST services.
- Independence Clinic, neighboring town to Monmouth, brings 4 FT PCP’s, as well as lab services to this quaint community.
- Central Clinic – School Based Health Center (SBHC) is centrally located between the Independence and Monmouth clinics. The SBHC clinic includes 1 FT PCP, in addition to Behavioral Health and Dental services. Although the provider in the SBHC supports the school district, they also carry full community panel.
- Uglow Clinic, located in Dallas, Oregon is directly across the street from the West Valley Hospital, a part of the Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics network. This clinic includes 5 FT PCP’s and a lab.
- Keizer Clinic, located in Keizer, Oregon, includes 5 FT PCPs. This collegial team ensures a family-centered work environment for the staff at this clinic.
- Skyline Village Clinic, located in South Salem, is the largest family practice clinic in our medical group. This clinic includes a multi-specialty patient-centered care team of 20+ primary care physicians and advanced practice clinicians, care management, RN triage, medical assistants, clinical pharmacists, licensed clinical social worker and PMHNPs, as well as onsite specialty and lab services.
- Boulder Creek Clinic, centrally located in Salem and less than a mile from the Salem Hospital, is a growing program. The current team consists of 2 FT PCPs, 1 behaviorist, a drug and alcohol counselor, and they are currently recruiting for 3 additional PCPs to join the practice. The tenured team work together to deliver excellent patient care. They take pride in their work as well as have fun planning social activities, such as a monthly birthday potluck, and gift exchanges that happen throughout the year.
- Edgewater Clinic, located in West Salem, includes 8 PCPs, 1 Pediatrician, and 1 PMHNP. This clinic offers its team a fast-paced, fun work environment with a culture of consistent change. In spirit of Lean Methodology, this clinic serves as ‘test of change’ clinic for SHMG. There, new, innovative ideas are tested and adjusted, then moved to sustain/operate at other clinic locations as appropriate. This adaptive environment ensures this team provides a high quality of care and service excellence to the patients & community.
- Woodburn Clinic, is a newer, state-of-the-art multi-specialty facility, located north of Salem in Woodburn. Our bilingual team brings a robust offering of services to a well-diverse patient population, including 3 FT PCPs, as well as onsite lab and imaging services.

Background/Expertise:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant through the NCCT, AMT or AAMA required.
- BLS certification required.
