As a Family Support Specialist, you will be making in-home visits with families to provide a variety of support services including parenting skills training, life skills training as well as helping families access available community resources
Responsibilities/Duties:

Conduct home visits with assigned families and provide transportation to necessary appointments as needed.

Provide parenting skills training, life skills training, access to community resources, and community service activities with families.

Attend regular supervisory meetings with the Family Service Director and other PSN and/or DCFS staff to review family service plans, action charts, and/or case notes.

Document home visits and other family contacts and maintain accurate records, including time sheets, case notes, and action charts.

Respect and maintain confidentiality of client information and records.

Report any indications of child abuse or neglect to appropriate personnel.

Perform other related duties as necessary.

Each employee is responsible for dressing business casual to represent KAFASI in a professional manner within the community.

Availability for safety checks (1-7 days a week).

Obtain training for group.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in a human service-related field preferred.

Strong knowledge and understanding of parenting, family living skills, and local, county, and state resources.

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual fluency preferred (English/Spanish).
- Knowledge of child welfare and family systems theory helpful.

Must be available some evenings and weekends.
-
Must have an insured vehicle available on-the-job and a valid Wisconsin driver's license.

CCS certified preferred.
