Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our medical imaging team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to capture diagnostic images of patients. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to accurate and high-quality imaging results, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI scans on patients according to established protocols and physician orders
- Position patients correctly and ensure their comfort during the scanning process
- Operate MRI equipment and adjust parameters to obtain optimal images
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or discomfort during the scan
- Evaluate images for quality and ensure they meet diagnostic standards
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to interpret and analyze imaging results
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Skills:
- Proficiency in operating MRI scanners and related equipment
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients, physicians, and colleagues
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during scanning
Requirements:
- Valid certification as an MRI Technologist from an accredited program
- Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure or certification as required by the state of practice
- CPR certification (BLS)
