Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various HR functions and play a key role in supporting the HR Director. The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely in supporting General Manager in several retail locations. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: heavy recruitment and onboarding, payroll administrative duties, benefits and training administration, performance management, policy implementation, employment law compliance knowledge, and workers compensation administration.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full recruitment cycle for assigned roles, including posting job ads, running background checks and ordering drug and alcohol testing and new hire onboarding.
- Prepare and distribute final checks.
- Maintain payroll records and prepare payroll reports as required.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.
- Manage HRIS systems and maintain accurate employee records.
- Administration and designation of training.
- Assist in coordination of performance management processes.
- Assist in workers compensation administration.
- Assist in benefits administration and ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Support in the implementation of HR programs and initiatives.
- Assist employees with benefits-related questions and issues.
Experience:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of HR practices and principles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong full -cycle recruitment experience.
- Experience with workers' compensation processes.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems such as Kronos.
- Strong administrative skills to handle various HR tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
