Assist the Area Director of Finance with the financial operations to ensure the security of assets of the company in a centralized environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manages receivables, payables, credit, payroll and cash handling functions with the accounting department.
- Prepares financial analysis of hotel operations including variance explanation and makes recommendations to the achievement of financial goals/targets.
- Develops and implements financial control procedures and systems; ensures compliance to “Internal Control Checkup”; maintains documents for audits of hotel accounts; ensures compliance with government regulations and contractual agreements.
- Directs preparation of budgets and financial forecasts and reporting.
- Hires, trains and provides career development for subordinates; conduct performance evaluations and provides feedback to employees.
- Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
- Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them to subordinates.
- Ensures hotel is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, including OSHA, EEOC, Wage Hour and Health laws.
Qualifications:
Education/ Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years work experience in accounting field. Special consideration will be given to those who exhibit exemplary performance.

- At least 18 years of age
- Knowledge of computers
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including but not limited to weekends, evenings and holidays

- Possess excellent customer service skills, effective oral and written English skills

- Four year college degree in accounting or on-the- job accounting experience
- Extensive knowledge of accounting software and office equipment
- Knowledge of human resources practices is helpful
- Supervisory experience is helpful
