Position Overview
As a Food Runner at Ten Rooms Ybor, you play a vital role in ensuring the seamless flow and delivery of culinary masterpieces from the kitchen to our discerning guests. Your impeccable attention to detail, timing, and ability to collaborate with the kitchen and service staff will contribute to the restaurant's reputation for flawless service and exceptional dining experiences. You will be an essential part of the team that ensures each dish reaches the table with precision and care, reflecting the highest standards of excellence.
Duties / Responsibilities
Dish Pickup: Retrieve dishes from the kitchen, ensuring that each plate is meticulously prepared and presented according to Ten Rooms standards.
Timing and Coordination: Work in close coordination with servers and the culinary team to ensure that each course is delivered promptly and at the correct temperature.
Quality Assurance: Conduct a final inspection of each dish to ensure that it meets the restaurant's exacting standards for presentation, garnishes, and any special requests.
Table Delivery: Serve dishes to guests with grace and professionalism, providing brief descriptions of each course and any relevant details.
Beverage Service: Assist servers in delivering wine, water, and other beverages to tables, ensuring that pairings are well-timed and precise.
Guest Assistance: Be attentive to guests' needs and requests, responding promptly and courteously to any inquiries or special requirements.
Table Maintenance: Clear and reset tables efficiently to include removing used dishes, silverware, and glassware ensuring that the dining environment remains pristine and aesthetically pleasing throughout the meal.
Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with the culinary team and waitstaff to facilitate the smooth progression of the meal service. Support waitstaff with additional tasks as needed contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Menu Expertise: Maintain a thorough understanding of menu items, including daily specials, to effectively answer any guest inquiries. Handle special requests or dietary restrictions professionally and efficiently.
Safety and Sanitation: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate harmoniously with the culinary team, servers, and other staff to maintain the perfect rhythm of service.
Professional Presentation: Maintain a polished appearance, adhering to dress code and grooming standards, to reflect the elegance and sophistication of Ten Rooms.
Participate in building Ten Rooms Culture: A concept where each department within an organization cultivates its own unique atmosphere and characteristics, contributing collectively to the overall organizational culture.
