Hourly Range: $20.00- $25.00
This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Pay rates are based on education, skill, experience level and internal equity. Internal equity considerations include an assessment of the applicant’s salary history and qualifications in comparison to the market rate and requirements for the job.

Position Summary
The incumbent will provide advanced administrative support for Sheriff’s Administration at Headquarters. Incumbent is responsible for routine clerical support to include developing, reviewing, or assisting in preparation of reports, gathering data, conducting research and compiling information that is requested or necessary to assist the department, preparing and creating letters and memos, maintaining and ordering supplies, maintaining and storing records, scheduling and maintaining conference room(s), directing visitors, filing, faxing, making copies, answering calls and taking a detailed message. The incumbent will provide the highest level of customer service to visitors and guests. Also, this position will be responsible for serving as the Sheriff’s Assistant’s backup. The incumbent must have the necessary computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Also, this is a very detail-oriented area of the Sheriff’s Office that operates at a fast pace. The most desirable candidate will be a team player, great attitude, flexible, able to multi-task, and have excellent customer service and communication skills.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, or G.E.D. and four years of clerical experience in area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and departmental policies and procedures are required at this level. Spanish speaking is a plus.
