Mechanical Engineer - Automation Machine Design (Covington, KY)
(Open to Full Time and/or Contract opportunities)
We are expanding and looking for someone who enjoys energetically solving challenges, finding areas to innovate, and is comfortable designing and troubleshooting Automation Machines (machines designed to perform automated tasks)

The ideal candidates would have experience/interest with:
- We design industrial machines that need to move reliably for 20 years. This means having the ability to spec mechanical components that are both cost effective and appropriate for the application.
- 3D modeling of parts & assemblies, and making drawings & bills of materials is a big part
- Communicating with clients and suppliers (to engineer new solutions that offer clients solid ROI's)
- Managing multiple projects at one time
- Promoting Quality, Efficiency and Cost Efficiency
- Working in an industrial equipment manufacturing environment (sometimes hands on)
- Quoting/Estimating (limited)
- Troubleshooting
- Open to traveling (infrequent)
Awesome Abilities
- Proficient 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks, etc.)
- 2D AutoCad (or Draftsight) experience
- Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently as well as with teams.
- Experience managing projects
- Experience creating and reviewing bills of materials
- Must be able to understand and create mechanical drawings, including tolerances.
- Strong attention to detail
- A solid track record of reliable attendance
- Technical writing and typing skills.
- Mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
- Comfortable problem solving and troubleshooting
- Ability to visualize concepts
- Self-motivated and multi-task oriented, with a strong work ethic
- Ideal: basic understanding of statics, dynamics, machine design, motors/gearboxes and materials.
- Ideal: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Design, or equivalent. (3 years experience minimum)
Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Lift weight up to 50 pounds
- Constant walking and standing may be required.
- Some exposures to dust, dirt, noise and smoke
- Working on computer daily
- Office and Shop floor
- Some travel
