Job Description:
Vida Artes Clinic for the neurodiverse is seeking a dedicated and compassionate therapist to join our team. Our center specializes in providing comprehensive treatment to children, teens and adults who present with a range of neurodivergence, including Autism, ADHD and Giftedness. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with neurodivergent conditions and a passion for helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Therapeutic Services: Tailored services to the mental health needs of children, adolescents and young adults with neurodivergent conditions.
- Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the strengths and needs of each client, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Collaboration: Work closely with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all therapy sessions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with center policies.
- Program Development: Assist in the development and implementation of therapeutic programs and interventions designed to improve social, communication, and behavioral skills.
- Education and Support: Provide education and support to families and caregivers to help them understand and effectively manage their child's condition.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention services as needed, including de-escalation and coordination with emergency services.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in autism therapy.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Licensure: Current and valid licensure as an associate AMFT, ACSW, APCC, Psychologist, or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder is highly preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Proficiency in behavioral and developmental assessment tools.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
