SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Performs administrative and technical work in planning, organizing, coordinating, and administering needs assessments for youth. The Program Coordinator works in collaboration with our partner agencies, schools, and other youth service providers in the delivery of services and in compliance with the program mission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Attend required training as assigned by IDHS supervisory, including successful completion of all training. ? To continue and deepen the work plan created by the Violence Prevention and Intervention Department in a sustainable and strategic way that includes continued implementation of prevention, education, and awareness programming efforts for all incoming participants.
? Supervise Street Interventionist, Case Managers and Victim Specialists including recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, developing and evaluating all staff members.
? Implement Memorandums of Understanding with local and statewide Support Agencies to enhance community prevention, education, awareness, and advocacy services.
? Work with West Town Law Office to ensure participants receive the legal assistance needed
? Provide data driven meetings for all staff members on a monthly basis to enhance and reorganize strategic approaches to reducing violence in the Humboldt Park community.
? Enhance current training for faculty, staff, and interns to include trauma-informed response, self-care, and awareness of resources.
? Continue to develop and implement evaluation tools to assess programs
? Review program reports, participant evaluations, statistical data, and other relevant information to make recommendations on scope, size, and the nature of future programs.
? Collaborate with PRCC’s Public Health department to ensure all participants receive the clinical mental health services needed to engage in a process of healing.
? Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of the Violence Prevention and Intervention Department.

Maintain resident files in accordance with program and funding requirements to ensure overall agency compliance and to ensure resident confidentiality

Develop, collaborate, conduct, and maintains contacts with community organizations and educational institutions for the purpose of outreach, recruitment, and positive public relations

Attends the PRCC and program-specific and organizational activities and meetings, including but not limited to the monthly organization-wide General Assembly

Participates in organizational annual events including but not limited to the Puerto Rican People’s Parade, Fiesta Boricua, Three Kings Day, and Haunted Paseo Boricua

Performs other functions assigned
This position requires compliance with all of The PRCC’s written standards, including its Standards of Conduct, all policies and procedures, and Regulatory Compliance requirements. Compliance will be considered as part of the regular performance evaluation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience working with the target population

Experience working in nonprofit work or program management

Driver's License

Knowledge of Criminal Justice System

Street intervention and violence prevention best practices
SKILLS:

Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred

Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills

Ability to write, create reports and prepare PowerPoint presentations for Training Purposes (English and Spanish)

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability

The ability to work in a team environment and provide support to fellow team members is essential

Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications is required including Microsoft Office Suite, database management, spreadsheet applications, email, and Internet applications
