Job Overview:
FELS's Director of Early Childhood Education is a senior leadership position responsible for leading our educational and operational initiatives across five early learning centers. Each Center is staffed with a full administrative staff, and this role oversees compliance, curriculum implementation, budget, program quality, and staff management to ensure the success of our educational programs. This role also has the direct support of the Assistant Director of Programs, Child Development Specialist, and PKC/HSSA Program Coordinator. In total, this role supervises a team of eight and reports directly to the President/CEO.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the educational and operational excellence of five early learning centers.
- Develop and implement educational strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Manage curriculum implementation
- Oversee budget planning and financial management for our programs.
- Supervise and support center directors and staff in delivering high-quality education.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment for children with special needs.
- Collaborate with HR on recruitment, personnel management, and staff development.
- Collaborate with Marketing on enrollment, engagement, social media, and other creative initiatives.
- Collaborate with Accounting to ensure proper billing, ELRC, CACFP, and payroll.
- Work with aFELS's Child Development Specialist to liaise between parents, staff, and early intervention service providers.
- Step in to address immediate center needs in the absence of a Center Director.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in early childhood education managing multiple sites.
- Strong understanding of regulatory standards and compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage both operational and strategic aspects of the role.
- Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds and needs.
- Proficiency in strategic planning and decision-making.
