Grimshaw's Los Angeles studio is seeking a passionate and talented IT Systems Analyst to provide efficient support and development for Grimshaw’s North America region.
The principal purpose of this position is to provide timely end user support and maintenance of local IT infrastructure. The IT Systems Analyst will also take part in protecting and securing Grimshaw IT systems and data. This position works hand in hand with New York based IT staff and the broader Global IT Department to maintain and develop Grimshaw North Americas IT systems and infrastructure. The candidate will report to the IT Manager based in New York.
Core responsibilities:
- Responding to and resolving user issues in North America within agreed timeframes (with a focus on the LA office).
- Day-to-day user administration.
- Application deployment.
- Onboarding and offboarding of staff.
- Raising proactive suggestions for customer support improvement.
- Managing local and remote access to on premises workstations.
- Network and server support.
- Conference space technology support.
- Controlling stock and ordering supplies.
- Resolving printer issues.
Core skills and experience:
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience required.

Proven ability to provide strong customer service to all clients. Cheerful/positive disposition, with a ‘can do’ attitude.

- Must be objective and data driven.

- Excellent administrative and organizational skills
- Experience in deploying agreed upon service profiles & application frameworks.
Required technical skills:
- Willingness to learn or existing knowledge of scripting is necessary (PowerShell desirable).
- Comfort and/or willingness to maintain and install on premises servers, switches and related hardware.

Experience with remote desktop tools (Splashtop and Parsec experience desirable).
- Video conferencing support (Zoom experience desirable).

O365 administration and application basics.

Application and PC image deployment (PDQ or Smartdeploy experience desirable).
- Microsoft Windows 10 or 11 experience (Microsoft certification desirable).
- Exposure to cloud-based & cloud hybrid technologies (Okta, Intune & AWS desirable).
- Basic understanding of Windows Server & Active Directory services.
- Group Policy.

- Basic/Advanced TCP/IP & network support skills.

Some exposure to virtual server environments (VMWare desirable).
- Security basics (NTFS, File shares etc.).
