Job Description:
Our Child Development Specialist (CDS) works with our Infant Development Program (IDP) to treat clients of the ages 0-3 years who are delayed in their developmental milestones such as Cognitive, Physical, Communication, Social Emotional and Adaptive Skills. A CDS works under a CDS Supervisor implementing the client's program and record client's progress every session. In addition, the CDS will implement ABA techniques to help decrease maladaptive behaviors.

Basic Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
- 12 units of Early Childhood Development Credits
- Valid Drivers License
- Valid Car Insurance
- Reliable Transportation
Availability Required:
- Morning hours between 8am-2:30pm (IDP Clients)

- Afternoon hours any time after 3pm (assist with clients in other departments)
This job requires candidates to be able to perform duties that include the following:
- Treat clients by using therapeutic and self-care activities designed to improve function and developmental milestones
- Monitor a client's activities to make sure they are performing them correctly and to offer encouragement
- Contribute to meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care plans for clients
- Document client's weekly progress in appropriate records
- Implement Parent Education with client parents in skills and techniques of the client's treatment program
- Provide appropriate individual therapy consistent with individual goals and objectives
- Must be physically able to move around on the ground, jump and engage in floor time
- Assist other departments (Adaptive Skills and Behavioral Health Treatment) caseload during the afternoon hours after 3pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
