LOCATION - Hybrid/Remote
We understand that life happens and strive to make it easier for employees to juggle work, family and life demands so they can define what fulfillment means to them. ABOUT THE JOB
The Tepa Companies are seeking a Vice President of Facilities engineering to will own and manage all aspects of projects to include client relationships, schedules, budgets, and profitability through comprehensive project completion. As the Vice President – Facilities Engineering, you will lead the project teams to develop, refine, and update project schedules to ensure all milestones are identified and tracked, and maintain responsible for all deliverables. Responsibilities include engineering and construction sequencing, scheduling of project work during plant shutdowns, and overall bid package planning and assembly. Other project responsibilities include management of project schedule, earned value project control system and manpower planning.
Job responsibilities include:

Supervises and mentors staff in all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, and architectural design

Grows Florida based opportunities for all Tepa Professional Services companies

Establishes Tepa brand in Orlando, Florida market

Responsible for managing tasks or coordinating projects of moderate size and complexity, makes decisions independently, provides guidance to project team

Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables

Directs and supervises technical assignments
-
Maintains effective client relations
-
Prepares and conducts technical review of staff, reports, correspondence, calculations and prepares technical recommendations
-
Produces non-routine plans, reports, and specifications
-
Prepares, directs, and reviews cost estimates
-
Recognizes and initiates business development opportunities
-
Prepares proposals with limited supervision and assists in preparation of large-scale proposals
-
Manages every aspect of the development process including consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and specialty contractors

Presents reports defining project progress, problems and solutions

Performs quality control and assurance

Performs budget development, forecasting and management
-
Maintains open communication with staff
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
-
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or similar from Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology accredited college or university

A minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience
-
10+ years of leadership experience in the facilities engineering discipline
-
Licensed Professional Engineer
-
Previous military experience preferred

Certified Mechanical Contractor
-
Capability of running multiple projects simultaneously

Advanced understanding of risk management policies and procedures
-
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to prepare reports and proposals
