PDQ Staffing is seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance specialist with at least two years of manufacturing experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in the quality Assurance preferably in the automotive industry. All candidates must have experience working in quality programs and some technical writing knowledge. A quality specialist will provide support to the Quality Manager to ensure all aspects of the Quality System are followed and documented accordingly. May assist in leading day to day activities within the Quality Dept. Will provide inspection support through all phases of the inspection process.
- Following all company policies regarding safety, quality and attendance, performs duties in a safe manner and report all observed safety hazards to management and takes a proactive role in correcting these conditions.
- Assist in leading day-to-day operations within the Quality Dept.
- Perform product inspection and release of finished goods.
- Perform departmental training.
- Support with calibration and document control.
- Part of cross functional team to support customer complaints, returns, specification creation, non-conformances, deviations, internal audits, corrective actions, etc.
- Ensure that documented evidence of control is in place for products manufactured and distributed, meeting all relevant quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain partnerships and a high level of customer service with both internal and external customers.
- Ability to multitask, manage time, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Other duties, assignments and special projects as assigned.
- Strong verbal / written communication, social, and motivation skills.
- Ability to interface with internal customers and management at all levels.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical and non-technical information verbally and in writing.
- Good organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skills to successfully handle multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to think and act independently and make sound decisions.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Must be willing to work any shift and overtime as needed to help the department meet demands.
- Experience with quality systems (ISO, IATF, Environmental), mechanical inspection, calibration, and quality auditing.
- Lean Manufacturing and 5S approach. Able to accept direction and guidance.
Additional Requirements:
· A high school diploma or equivalent, required.
· Min 2-year engineering degree preferred. (+)
· 3-5 years minimum quality experience required.
· 1+ years’ experience reading/interpreting blueprints.
· 1+ years’ experience using measuring tools.
· Proficient w/ Microsoft Office Tools/ Knowledge of Quality Systems and Processes
