Qualifications
- B.A/B.S degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Hold a valid credential as an Education Specialist authorizing service in grade levels & areas assigned as an Education Specialist
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as Special Education Teacher & Case Manager, working primarily with students with Individualized Education Plans in inclusive settings resource programs, and highly specialized Special Education programs, both in an in-person classroom setting and virtually
- Work closely with school leadership, general education teachers, program specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to plan and implement individualized & rigorous educational programming for students in Special Education
- Responsible for case management and compliance, goal setting & progress monitoring, stakeholder engagement & empowerment
- Update IEP goals as needed and lead IEP meetings
- Plan and deliver lessons utilizing effective teaching practices for all students.
- Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional content that facilitate learning
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
- Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities
- Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs
- Facilitate and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust instructional strategies
- Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction
- Exhibit sensitivity to and understanding of working in a diverse, multicultural, and multiethnic student and community environment.
- Accept a climate of change, innovation, and accountability to promote student achievement.
- Commit to the success of all employees in achieving personal and organizational goals.
- Demonstrate a commitment to upholding the interests and goals of LdVCS, including adherence to the LdVCS Charter Petition
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
