Job Overview:
Patriot Strategies is currently hiring a forward-leaning, resourceful, team-focused Proposal and Business Development Support Manager to join a world-class Growth organization. This position will be hybrid (in office + remote).
Responsibilities:
The Business Development Specialist will collaborate with program managers, BD, solutions, and support personnel to provide proposal development and Business Development (BD) support. Working in concert with BD and Operations, the ideal candidate will be comfortable collaborating with the Business Development Team (BD and CGO) and leadership to produce a high quality, compliant, and responsive proposal. Exceptional communication, organizational, and strategic-thinking skills are vital to this position and research into new business opportunities will be crucial. Experience within DOD/VA/State + agencies is required.
- Support the overall proposal development process for assigned opportunities
- Interpret technical and management requirements of Federal Government solicitations and provide support to the proposal team.
- Develop proposal/Task Order outlines according to requirements; facilitate and support proposal sessions.
- Iteratively review content and provide feedback to authors.
- Manage team members to meet proposal/Task Order milestones and deadlines.
- Maintain a forward-leaning posture that is always willing to wear extra hats as needed to help the team submit compliant, concise, and compelling bids.

- Strong working knowledge of the Federal Government contracting.

Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or 7 years of relatable work experience)
- 5 years related work experience in the Federal Government contracting / Proposal Management or related roles.
- 3 years of experience with Federal Government procurement practices including basic understanding of FAR/DFAR requirements and standard Federal Government solicitation organization
- 3 years of experience supporting a broad range of proposals, from quick-turn task orders to large-scale and complex IDIQ or GWAC bids.
- 3 years of experience in the delivery of compelling and compliant proposals in a competitive environment.
- ·5 years of experience using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and Adobe Acrobat
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with Government agencies.
- Understanding of the Shipley process is desired but not required.
