The Allure Group is a consortium of six rehabilitation centers across Brooklyn and Manhattan, NY, specializing in post-acute and sub-acute skilled nursing and rehabilitation. As a Director of Recreation at The Allure Group, you would be part of a winning team doing meaningful work to improve residents' quality of life, health, and comfort.
Director of Recreation Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the recreation programs
- Communicate with residents and families as necessary and involve them in the planning of facility recreation programs
- Consult with staff, interdepartmental personnel, etc. to solve the needs and problems of residents through the development of recreation programs
- Review and address complaints and grievances made by residents
- Develop and maintain a recreation schedule
- Ensure that all recreation staff incorporate residents’ care plans in daily activities
- Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of personnel for the recreation department
- Maintain an adequate supply and equipment for the recreation department
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis
Director of Recreation Requirements
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- COVID-19 Vaccination

- Long-term care experience
