Job Type:
- Part-time, hours of 11am-7pm
- Expected to rotate weekends and holidays
Reports to:
- Kitchen Manager and/or Administrator
Basic Job Duties:
- Assist with meal prep using proper food handling techniques
- Serving meals to the residents and staff
- Wash dishes, ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining rooms. Operate dishwasher.
- Maintain organization of storage areas.
- Monitor food supply usage and communicate to Dietary Manager when supplies are needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of one year experience working in a food service department in a nursing home, assisted living or a hospital environment.
- At least one year working with the frail elderly population.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current ServSafe preferred but not needed
- CPR certification required, will train on site if needed
