CNC Machinist
BASIC FUNCTION
We are seeking a motivated machinist/programmer for duties including, production, programming, machine set up, trouble shooting, reducing cost and time out of machining, maintenance, and QC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Basic understanding of creating machine code with CAM software.
- Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate and machine products to specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, or CNC mills.
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines. Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations.
- Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules, and insert control instructions into machine control units to start/stop/pause operation.
- Check work pieces to ensure that they are properly lubricated or cooled and remove and replace cutting tools as required.
- Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems.
- Measure, examine or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers.
- Machine operators change out tools, troubleshoot and improve production efficiencies.
QUALIFICTIONS
- Able to lift, carry, and maneuver a maximum of 75 lbs.
- Attention to detail
- Ability to accurately follow written and verbal direction, work without direction and retain prior direction.
- Capability to use precision instrumentation: micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Able to work continuously on feet
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, 2D and 3D prints.
- Basic understanding of programming
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Required: High School Diploma
- Required: Prior work with CNC milling machines and/or lathes, preferably Haas equipment.

Hours- Monday to Thursday 6am-4:30pm
Salary is determined on experience up to $25-$35/hour
